Ahora que estoy “de vacaciones” tengo mucho tiempo para buscar lo que sea en internet. En una de esas búsquedas aleatorias me encontré con ‘She Beards’. Primero me llamó la atención el nombre y no pude evitar acordarme de que mi primer pololo me dejó por una chica que tenía una gran barba.
Después hice un pequeño contacto vía facebook con los chicos de la banda para decirles que me había gustado mucho lo que escuché y que tenía ganas de escribir un pequeño comentario así que aquí estoy cumpliendo mi palabra, dándole cariño a unos gringos desconocidos que así como una vez fue Someone still loves you Boris Yeltsin, hoy es She Beards la banda encargada de hacerme sentir acompañada y contenta.
He escuchado muchas veces el EP y a pesar de no entender completamente las letras, me gusta. Me recordó un poco a los locales Protistas, sin embargo, suenan muy auténticos y dedicados. Es una de las propuestas más honestas que he escuchado este último tiempo. Tiene seis canciones y no alcanza a durar 23 minutos, diría que es el tiempo perfecto para alcanzar a tener buenas sensaciones. La primera canción se llama Muertos y es bien alegre, como pa empezar a cambiar la onda si estás teniendo un día de mierda.
En general las melodías son pegajosas y muy alegres, como para bailar con una cerveza en la mano. Aunque también logré estados de nostalgia pero quizás sea culpa del clima y de la absurda cotidianeidad que he estado viviendo últimamente.
El 15 de julio lanzaron su disco en un concierto. Lo bueno de todo esto es que a pesar de no poder asistir a este por culpa de la geografía, podemos escucharlo gratis en el bandcamp de la banda! Y una vez más me gustó mucho, me llevan esos ritmos a ratos playeros, a ratos poperos. La última canción me entristeció un poco, quizás es el clima.
Para cerrar quiero añadir que los encuentro súper porque se aplican en el hazlo tú mismo, serigrafían sus poleras y las portadas de sus discos.

Now I’m on vacation I have much time to find anything on the Internet. In one of those random searches I came across ‘She Beards‘. First I noticed the name and could not help remembering my first boyfriend dumped me for a girl who had a long beard.
Then I did a little contact via Facebook with the guys from the band to say that I liked what I heard and I wanted to write a little comment, so here I am fulfilling my word, giving some love to strangers as well as once was Someone still loves you Boris Yeltsin, today is the band She Beards responsible for make me feel accompanied and happy.
I have often heard the EP and despite not fully understand the lyrics, I like it. It reminded me a little to the local Protistas, however, sound very authentic and dedicated. It is one of the most honest proposals I’ve heard lately. It has six songs songs and does not reach last for 23 minutes, i can say that is the perfect time to catch up a good feeling. The first song is called Muertos and is very happy, perfect to change the mood if you’re having a shitty day.
In general the tunes are catchy and very happy, to dance with a beer in your hand. Although i felt nostalgic sometimes but maybe because of the weather and the absurd everyday I’ve been living lately.
On July 15 they released their album at a concert. The good news is that despite being unable to attend this because of geography, it can be heard free on the band Bandcamp! And once more I liked, it have these rhythms at times playeros, sometimes pop. The last song made me sad a little, maybe’s the weather.
To close let me add that I find them super because they apply to the DIY, serigraphs their T-shirts and album cover art.
